NOTE: The My ROI function only works on data layers that are census tract-based. Furthermore, using the Data Download tool on layers that are not based on census tracts will cause an error in the way the Excel file is ordered. For a list of applicable layers, click here. If you are planning to create a PDF Report, assemble your selected tracts in the left-most map.
Click on the drop down menu below to select a geography, then enter part of a feature name. If more than one result is found, click on the correct geography. The census tracts within your geography will be selected. When complete, use the Actions below to analyze the selected area. Please note that if your selected geography is anything other than Counties or Census Tracts, the selected area (outlined in black) might not align exactly with your selected geography (outlined in blue).

Click one of the buttons below to draw a shape of that type on the left most map. The selected census tracts are the tracts that intersect or are included within the area of the selected geography. When complete, use the Actions below to analyze the selected area.
Currently, the maximum number of selected tracts is limited to 3,000 (California has just over 8,000 tracts). If you use the "Place" tool above you will not exceed this limit, but if you select a large area with the "Draw" tool be aware that you might select more tracts than will be reported.

Use this tool to compare across indicators and census tracts. Only tract-level data will be included in this report. Clicking on additional tracts will add their indicator data to each of the three tables below. Clicking the "Clear" button, or changing the display layer in any of the three maps, will clear the results and allow you to start over. Clicking the "CSV" button will allow these results to be saved in a tabular format, with the three indicators as columns and the tracts as rows. These on-screen table results are formatted as Tract: Value.
